Obituary of Thomas K. Masterson

Thomas K. Masterson, 67, died on Monday, November 7, 2016 at his home in Monroe Twp. Thomas was born in Jersey City and raised in Atlantic Highlands where he lived for most of his life before moving to Clearbrook, Monroe Twp. in 2012. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a supermarket sales technician for Supermarket Sales in Kearny until his retirement in 2011. Thomas was a member of the American Legion Post 338 in Leonardo and a member of the VFW Post 2179 in Port Monmouth. He was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and enjoyed playing pool. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian (Daly) Masterson. (2012) He is survived by his two sons: Ryan Masterson and his wife Laura of Metuchen and Doug Masterson of North Bergen, one step-daughter, Christy Dyson and her husband Christopher of Myrtle Beach, SC, four siblings: Michael Masterson and his wife Lorraine of Monroe Twp., Joan Baum and her husband Wayne of Mooresville, NC, Raymond Masterson and his wife Kathy of Newark, DE and Patricia Pape of Havre de Grace, MD, one grandson, Ethan and one step-granddaughter, Cheyenne. Also surviving are many other extended family members. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Wednesday November 9, 2016 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. A catholic blessing will immediately follow the visiting hours at 7pm. Cremation is private.
