Anthony James Critelli – Monroe Township, NJ
Anthony J. Critelli, 86, died on Sunday October 30, 2016. Anthony was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He has resided in Rossmoor, Monroe Township, NJ for the past twenty three years. Anthony proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War and was the former Commander of Russo-DeMarco C.W.V. Post # 1702.
Anthony was employed as an electrician and has been a member of the Local #3 I.B.E.W. in New York City for sixty five years. He enjoyed bowling, golf, bocce ball, was an avid fan of the New York Giants and the New York Mets. He also had a love for music and performing, especially Sinatra tunes.
Anthony is preceded in death by his two sisters: Gloria Smalley and Dorothy Durante.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Maria Critelli of Monroe Township, NJ, two daughters: Debbie Romanella and her husband Rocky of Allentown, NJ, Donna Morelli and her husband Fred of Manalapan, NJ, six grandchildren: Christina Morelli, Anthony Morelli, Jean Marie Rinaldi, Nicole O'Neal, Rocky Romanella, Andrew Romanella and one great grandson, Nico Anthony Rinaldi. Anthony was affectionately known as "Sonny", "Tony", and his favorite: "Grandpa Tony". He will be missed by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 2-5 and 7-9pm on Friday November 4, 2016 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ, 08831. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Saturday November 5, 2016 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. followed by entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park and Mausoleum, South Brunswick.
In lieu of flowers and for those who desire, memorial donations in Anthony's name can be made to: NJ Memorial Veterans Homes at Menlo Park. Please make sure all memorial donations are clearly marked for "recreation use only" or to the attention of Marsha Lasko.
