Obituary of Janice Glessman

Janice (Stockalis) Glessman – Monroe Twp., NJ Janice (Stockalis) Glessman passed away on Thursday October 13, 2016. Born (1942) and raised in Mt. Carmel, PA, Janice graduated from Mt. Carmel Catholic High School in 1959 before moving to South River, NJ where she was employed as an administrative assistant for the South River Police Department for 32 years before retiring in 2007. In 2009, Janice and her husband of 51 years, Leonard Glessman (who preceded her in death in 2014), moved to Encore, Monroe Twp. where she made many new friends and had a very active lifestyle. She also found great joy in spending time with family, participating in clubs and having lengthy phone calls to friends both near and far. She is survived by her son, Robert Glessman and his wife Michelle of Monroe Twp., two daughters, Renee Nied and her husband Robert of Richmondville, NY, and Rachelle Marone and her husband Joseph of Millstone Twp., one brother, John Stockalis and his wife Patricia of Mifflinville, PA, four grandchildren whom she dearly loved, Wesley, Nicole, Owen, and Madeline and many other extended family members. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make a donation to the American Cancer Society or to your local food pantry. A memorial mass will be held Monday, October 17 at 9:30AM at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ. Cremation was private and held under the direction of the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc., 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ.
