Obituary of Rita B. Edelkraut

Rita B. (Cerniglia) Edelkraut died on Thursday August 25, 2016 at her home in Port St. Lucie, FL. She was 73 years old. Mrs. Edelkraut was born and raised in Passaic and lived in Marlboro for over 30 years. She has resided in Port St. Lucie since 2012. She had a long career in the banking industry and worked for the majority of her career at the Southern Middlesex County Teachers FCU in East Brunswick. She retired in 2012. She was predeceased by one brother, Peter Cerniglia, and one sister, Dolores Tomayko. She is survived by her heart-broken husband of 53 years, Richard G. Edelkraut, Sr. of Port St. Lucie, FL, five devoted children, Debra E. Gulick and her husband Mark of Monroe Twp., Denise M. Dotti of Port St. Lucie, FL, Darcie Antrim and her husband Jon of Phoenix, AZ, Doreen Rubio and her husband Ramon of Davie, FL, and Richard G. Edlekraut, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Port St. Lucie, FL, two brothers, Joseph Cerniglia and his wife Louise of Woodland Park, NJ, and Richard Cerniglia and his wife Joann of Riverdale, NJ, one sister, Marie Antoinette Corrao and her husband Vincent of Pt. Pleasant, fourteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many other extended family members. A memorial gathering will be Monday September 5, 2016 from 4pm to 7pm at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, www.demarcofuneralhome.com. A memorial service will take place at the conclusion of the gathering hours at 7:00pm at the funeral home.
