Obituary of Amelia Kaley Spitalieri

Please share a memory of Amelia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Amelia Kaley Spitalieri passed away unexpectedly on Sunday August 14, 2016 at the age of 2. She was born in Freehold and lived in Monroe Twp. Amelia was a very energetic child who loved gymnastics, dancing and singing to all types of music. Some of Amelia's favorite characters were Cookie Monster, Elmo, Minnie and Mickey Mouse. She always had to watch the movie Frozen several times a day, singing and imitating all the dancing especially for the song "Let It Go". Amelia loved being around her family, spending time with her grandparents, cousins and of course the family pets. Amelia knew how to use the iPad to find her favorite videos and play games. She was also an avid "reader" grabbing all the books, flipping through them and having her parents read to her. She played with her Blocks every day, building monuments and tearing them down before putting them away. She was not afraid of animals and would feed them at the zoos/parks, sticking her hands in their mouths even though they were many times larger than her. Amelia was a very sociable child making friends with other children everywhere she went, playing games with them and giving them big hugs when we left. She had special bond and learned to walk with one of her best friends Amry, who she met at Gymboree. Her other little friend Abby and her got nicknamed the A-team together because of their names. When visiting her cousins Elena and Michael she was always dragged around to play, making a mess in the play room and having a blast together. She was always surrounded by the love of her large family of Uncles and Aunts who showered her with love, gifts and had a blast spending time with her. All of the family, their friends and neighbor's loved looking at her beautiful smile and seeing her so full of life and love for everyone around. Amelia was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Michael Spitalieri (2016). She is survived by her loving parents, Christopher and Dina (Barber) Spitalieri, her paternal grandmother Ellen, her fiancée Joseph Venezia, and his two children Paul and Angelina, her maternal grandmother, Claudette Barber, also of Monroe Twp., her paternal grandfather, Gerald Barber of Arizona, her paternal grandmother Pat Spitalieri of Waldwick, her aunts and uncles: Michael Spitalieri and his wife Elisa, Matthew Seccondro, Christina Seccondro, Jessica Seccondro, Nicholas Seccondro, Richard Seccondro, Edith Dinatale and her husband Carlo and Nanette Felicio and her husband Anthony and three cousins, Elena, Michael and Alyssa.
