Obituary of Robert E. Keaveney

Robert E. Keaveney, 91, of Holland, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 28, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born in Jersey City and lived in Brooklyn, Jamesburg and Rossmoor before moving to Pennsylvania where he has been for almost 2 years. He was employed by R.E.A. Express as a laborer for 20 years and then for Continental Baking as a laborer for 30 years until his retirement in 1990. Robert was an avid NY Giants and NY Mets fan. He enjoyed his days at the track and was an opera enthusiast. Robert was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Ann (Jennings) Keaveney, his son, James E. Keaveney, three brothers: Bill Keaveney, Leonard Keaveney and Dick Keaveney and one sister, Marie Manning. He is survived by three sons: Thomas W. Keaveney of East Lansing, MI, Kevin M. Keaveney and his wife Jennifer of Holland, PA and Robert J. Keaveney of Baltimore, MD and three grandchildren: Deven, Hailey and Stella. Visitation will be 6-8pm on Friday July 1, 2016 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 9:15am on Saturday July 2, 2016 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10am at St. James the Less RC Church – 36 Lincoln Ave., Jamesburg, NJ 08831 followed by interment in Holy Cross Burial Park – South Brunswick.
