Obituary of Helen Prasch

Helen Prasch, 91, died on Monday June 27, 2016 at St. Peter's University Hospital – New Brunswick. Helen was born in Newark, NJ. She resided in Orange, NJ before making the Madison Park Section of Parlin her home in the 1950's. Helen was employed for 14 years by RCA as a supervisor. After her employment Helen was a homemaker. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the NY Mets, NY Giants and the NJ Devils. Helen also liked to take trips to Atlantic City and was an active parishioner of St. Bernadette's RC Church. Most important to Helen was her family, she loved to watch her grandchildren play sports and never missed a baseball or basketball game. Helen is preceded in death by her husband Philip F. Prasch, brother, John Senick, two sisters: Dorothy Wojtowicz and Anna Stock. Helen is survived by her son, Philip "Dutch" Prasch and his wife Lorrie of Helmetta, NJ, 3 grandchildren: P.J., Jason and Justin Prasch of Helmetta, NJ and 1 sister, Clara Aufschneider of Maryland. Visitation will be 7-9pm on Thursday June 30, 2016 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555 – www.demarcofuneralhome.com. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Friday July 1, 2016 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at St Bernadette RC Church – 20 Villanova Rd – Parlin, NJ followed by interment in Hollywood Memorial Park – Union.
