Vito G. Galati – 97 – Monroe Twp.
Vito G. Galati, 97, of Monroe Twp. died on Saturday June 11, 2016 at The Chelsea @ Forsgate. Vito was born and raised in Brooklyn and lived there for most of his life. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was a mechanic for the NYC Transit Authority. Vito was a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus at Baron DeKalb, Sheepshead Bay, a member of the Moose Club in Brooklyn and a member of the Great Kills Senior Center.
Vito was preceded in death by his wife, Louise (Daguino) Galati (2002), two brothers and five sisters.
He is survived by his daughter Camille Rendeiro and her husband Peter of Monroe Twp., two grandchildren: Paul Rendeiro and his wife Jaime and Erika Rendeiro and three great grandchildren: James Vito, Juliana Louise and Jordana Grace.
Visitation will be from 5-9pm on Monday June 13, 2016 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555 – www.demarcofuneralhome.com. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Tuesday June 14, 2016 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by interment in Resurrection Cemetery – Staten Island.
