Claire A. (Majesko) Ruczkowski passed away in DeLand, Florida on Thursday, May 26th, 2016. She was 80 years young.
Born and raised in Kearny, NJ to the late John and Genevieve Majesko, Claire married the love of her life Richard V. Ruczkowski in 1955. She was a longtime resident of Parlin, NJ before moving to DeLand, Florida in 2004.
Claire was a proud homemaker and her family was her number one priority. She enjoyed good conversation and sharing memories of her life with everyone she encountered. She could always put a smile on your face. She loved to travel, enjoyed classic movies, writing letters and poetry. Claire was loved by all who knew her.
She lost the love of her life, Richard V. Ruczkowski, in 1986. She was also preceded in death by her son in law, Alfred S. Rozanski, her sister, Joyce Veasey and her grandson, Todd Massie.
She was a Devoted mother to: Robin Rozanski, Janeen Morse, wife of Michael Morse; Jody Lightner, wife of Dale Lightner; Dear sister to: John Majesko; Janice DeFilippo; Wonderful grandmother to: Justin Lightner, Ryan Massie; Andrew Rozanski; Matthew Rozanski; Jordan Lightner; and GeeGee to: Lucas and Jacob Massie. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be 9-11am on Thursday June 2, 2016 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555 – www.demarcofuneralhome.com. A catholic blessing will take place at the conclusion of the visiting hours followed by entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum – South Brunswick.
