Margaret Kushner, 92, died on Saturday April 30, 2016 at her residence. Margaret was born in Paterson, NJ, she resided in Totowa until she and her new husband Stanley moved to North Haledon, NJ. Later she lived in Wellington, Fla; Toms River, NJ; Syracuse, NY; and most recently, Monroe Township, NJ. Prior to raising her family, she did architectural drawings and models. Margaret loved the arts, music and nature. She enjoyed gardening and personally landscaped her home with rock walls, flowers and plants. She was an avid birdwatcher. She was also an animal lover, especially cats and dogs. Margaret is preceded in death by one brother Henry Russak and one sister Minerva Wiener. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Stanley Kushner of Monroe Twp, NJ, a daughter, Patti Amor of Monroe Twp, NJ, two sons: Kenn Kushner of Manlius, NY, R. Scott Kushner and his wife Corrinne of Liverpool, NY, 6 grandchildren: Nathaniel, Aurora, Cody, Jared, Sarah, and Travis; and 2 great grandchildren: Heather and Jason. A private cremation has been entrusted to the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home.
