Obituary of John G. Buckley

John G. Buckley, 76, died on Sunday April 17, 2016 at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. John was born in the Bronx, NY; he resided in Queens, NY, Sayreville, NJ and East Brunswick, NJ before moving to Clearbrook, Monroe Twp., NJ twelve years ago. John was employed by the New York City Department of Sanitation, as a sanitation worker, for twenty years and New York University, as a facilities manager for fourteen years, retiring in 2004. He proudly served his country in the Marine Corps and was the past Commandant of the John Basilone Detachment Marine Corp League #190. John loved to barbeque and fish and was an avid NY Giants fan. John treasured spending time with his family, especially his grandsons, and watching them play sports. John is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Carol Buckley of Clearbrook, Monroe Twp., NJ, his daughter, Kimberly Anne Rogers and her husband Edward, Jr., two grandsons: Edward Rogers III and Kyle Rogers all of Spotswood, NJ and his sister Margaret Farrell of FL. John was preceded in death by his parents Jeremiah Buckley of County Cork Ireland and Julia (McCarthy) Buckley of Macroom County, Ireland and a sister Eileen Buckley.
