Marion E. (Ivory) Gorman, 93, of Monroe Twp. died on Tuesday March 22, 2016 at The Gardens @ Monroe. Marion was born in New York City and raised in Jersey City where she lived most of her life before moving to Brick in 1985. She then moved to Whiting where she lived for 15 years. Most recently she resided in Monroe Twp. She was a crossing guard in Jersey City, on the same corner, for 30 years. Upon retirement in 1985, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Marion was a former parishioner of St. Paul the Cross in Jersey City and a current parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband John Gorman (1980), her daughter Maureen A. Dougherty (2012) and her sister Rosemarie Ivory (2003).
She is survived by her daughter Karol A. Bluhm and her husband Richard of Monroe Twp., her son-in-law Michael Dougherty of Green Town, PA, six grandchildren: Daniel Dougherty and his wife Janet, Joel Dougherty, Denise Wood and her husband Dennis, Bridget Stump and her husband Ben, Christine Bluhm and Erin Beck and her husband Dale, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-8pm on Monday March 28, 2016 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555 – www.demarcofuneralhome.com. Funeral services will begin at 9:45am on Tuesday March 29, 2016 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10:30am on Tuesday at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – Monroe Twp. followed by a private Cremation.
