John F. Naughton, 78, died on Tuesday February 16, 2016 at his residence in Scranton, PA. John was born in Brooklyn and lived there for most of his life before moving to Moscow, PA and finally to Scranton, PA. He proudly served his country in the US Army. John was employed as a computer programmer. John is survived by his two sons: John Naughton and his wife Catherine of Cranbury and David Naughton of Albany, NY, two brothers: James Naughton of Arizona and Thomas Naughton, his wife Nora of Staten Island and their children, Nora Marie, Eileen and Carol, one sister, Mary Naughton of Arizona and two grandchildren: Maura Naughton and Logan Michael Seller. Visitation will be 2-4pm & 7-9pm on Friday February 19, 2016 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Saturday February 20, 2016 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by committal and cremation at Holy Cross Burial Park Crematory – South Brunswick. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Gino J. Merli Veterans Center, Attention: Delores Davis, Resident Welfare Fund, 401 Penn Ave, Scranton, PA 18503.
