Kathryn E. (Klag) Macaro died unexpectedly on Thursday January 28, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 71 years old. Born in Shoshone, CA, she lived in Old Bridge before moving to Jamesburg in 1976. She recently moved to Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. in July 2015. She was an assistant club house director at Concordia for over 25 years. She was a concierge at Greenbriar at Whittingham and worked in a similar capacity for Brookdale Senior Living in Monroe Twp. She was a certified aerobics instructor and currently taught an aerobics class at Greenbriar at Whittingham. She formerly was a fitness instructor and fitness sales manager for New York Sports Club in East Brunswick. She was an avid reader and bike rider and also enjoyed gardening. Kathy was a best friend to so many and touched everyone she met. She was full of life and made people feel good to be around her. She loved to help people throughout her life and even in her passing as an organ donor. She took care of her ill mother for many years until her mother's death. When she passed she was very happy in life and loved her new home in Rossmoor. Kathy was a lover of all animals especially her two cats Cooper and Anderson. She adored her children and family. She truly enjoyed life and hers was a life well lived. She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Bradshaw and her husband Patrick of New Brunswick, her son, Ryan Macaro and his partner Eric Goll of Tinton Falls, her grandson, Daniel Bradshaw, three brothers, John Klag of Toms River, Michael Klag and his wife Karen of Jackson, and Timothy Klag and his wife Stacey of Westfield, two sisters, her aunt, Pauline Gilliam of Oklahoma, and many other extended family members. A private cremation took place under the direction of the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555 – www.demarcofuneralhome.com. A memorial gathering will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday February 5, 2016 at the funeral home. A service of remembrance will begin at 6:30pm. For those who desire memorial contributions may be made to either the Michael J. Fox Foundation, www.michaeljfox.org or to the ASPCA www.aspca.org.
