Salvatore Filiano – 58 – Monroe Twp.
Salvatore Filiano, 58, of Monroe Twp. passed away on Thursday January 21, 2016 in Nassau, Bahamas. Salvatore was born in Harlem and lived in Bellerose, Queens before moving to New Jersey in 1995. He owned and operated Universal Systems Installers, a fixture installation company, for over 20 years. Salvatore loved his family, loved to cook, he made the most amazing meatballs and sauce, and loved to dance. He loved the sun and being outside and his paradise was Nassau, Bahamas.
Salvatore was preceded in death by his mother, Lena Filiano (2014).
He is survived by his loving wife Teresa (Lapinski) Filiano, two sons: Salvatore Charles Filiano and Joseph Michael Filiano, all of Monroe Twp., two daughters: Nicole Kelly and her husband Ryan of Monroe Twp. and Nicole Casadigo of East Windsor, his father, Dominick Filiano of Winter Garden, FL, his two brothers: Dominick Filiano and his wife Shannon of Freehold and Michael Filiano of Monroe Twp., one sister, Dawn Tesoriero and her husband Ralph of Winter Garden, FL, and his father and mother in law: Stanley and Vincenza Lapinski of Monroe Twp.
Visitation will be 2-5pm & 7-9pm on Sunday January 31, 2016 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555 – www.demarcofuneralhome.com. Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Monday February 1, 2016 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10:30am at St. James the Less RC Church, Jamesburg followed by entombment in St. Joseph's Mausoleum – Keyport.
