Obituary of Selina M. Swedrek

Selina M. (D'Costa) Swedrek died on Saturday December 5, 2015 at The Chelsea @ Forsgate. She was 87 years old. Mrs. Swedrek was born and raised in India where she met her first husband during WWII. She came to the US in 1948 and settled in Staten Island, NY. She moved to Old Bridge in 1959. She re-married and retired to Laceyville, PA in 1980. Upon living there, she became very active as a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She was an avid reader and also volunteered her time as a librarian in Laceyville, PA. Prior to her volunteer work, she was a factory worker of Kimberly-Clark in Spotswood. She has resided in Monroe Twp. since 2008. She was pre-deceased by her second husband, James Swedrek in 2008, and her son-in-law, William Shivey in 2004. She is survived by three children, Selina M. Kidney of The Villages, FL, Kevin W. Kidney, Sr. and his wife Joan of Manchester, and Margaret Shivey of The Villages, FL, one sister, Petronella Arnold of Huntington Beach, CA, six grandchildren, Kimberly Weigle and her husband Daniel, Selina Shivey, Kevin W. Kidney, Jr., and his wife Danielle, Carolyn Milmoe and her husband Joseph, James Shivey, and Kelly DeStefano and her husband Robert, three great grandchildren, Alan Shivey, and Emily and Thomas Weigle, and many other extended family members.
