Obituary of Stella B. Estenes

Stella B. (Kusiak) Estenes died on November 18, 2015 at the Elms of Cranbury, where she was a resident since 2011. She was 90 years old. Mrs. Estenes was born in Perth Amboy. She lived in Etra and was a long-time resident of Hightstown before moving to Monroe Twp. in 1958. She moved to the Clearbrook Community in Monroe Twp. in 2001. Stella was involved in farming since her early childhood and later in life she and her husband owned and operated farms in Hightstown and Monroe Twp. She was known to many for the fruit, vegetable and flower stand under the pink beach umbrella on Applegarth Rd. in Monroe Twp. She was a former member and Eucharistic Minister at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church in Hightstown, and was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. She worked on the assembly line at Carter Wallace in Cranbury for 15 years before her retirement in 1990. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Walter M. Estenes in 1995, and her daughter, Regina M. Estenes, M.D., in 1983, two sisters, Jean Szabo and Eleanor Kusiak, and four brothers, Steve, Stanley, Joseph and John Kusiak. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara E. Ackland and her husband Bryan of Old Bridge, and Dianne Mizerak and her husband Thomas of Chesterfield, and two grandsons, Mark Ackland and his wife Elizabeth of Hoboken, and Spencer Mizerak of Chesterfield, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3-6pm on Sunday November 22, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd, Monroe Twp, NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 9:15am on Monday November 23, 2015 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10am at Nativity of our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. followed by Interment in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
