Obituary of David Dalva

David Dalva died on Thursday November 5, 2015 at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. He was 90 years old. Mr. Dalva was born in NYC and was raised in Brooklyn. He resided in Brooklyn until moving to Twin Rivers in East Windsor in 1973. He has resided in Monroe Village since 2009. He served in the US Coast Guard during WWII. He was a garment cutter for Russ Togs in Long Island City, NY until his retirement in 1987. Following his retirement, he modeled in print ads, and also acted in movies and television shows. He was also a musician and played the clarinet, saxophone, and flute.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty (Shapiro) Dalva of Monroe Twp., his daughter, Susan Dalva of Dayton, his son, Eddie Dalva of NYC, his sister, Becky Dinnerstein of Teaneck, and many other extended family members.
Funeral services will begin at 12pm on Monday November 9, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ, 08831 – (732) 521-0555 – www.demarcofuneralhome.com. Graveside services will begin at 2pm at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ
