Joanne F. Florek, 87, died on September 29, 2015 at her residence with her family by her side. Joanne was born, raised and resided in Newark before making Monroe Township her home in 1962. She was a parishioner, a member of the Rosary Society and CCD teacher all at Immaculate Conception RC Church in Spotswood. She was employed by Sherman Williams and had other various jobs before ending her career at Cricket Converters.
Joanne was preceded in death by her husband Joseph A. Florek (1998), her sister Irene Ciuba and her brother in law Alfred Valli.
She is survived by two sons: James of Old Bridge and Casey and his wife Patricia of Jamesburg, two daughters: Lorraine Niedzielski and Elizabeth Lallier and her husband John, all of Helmetta, one brother, Joseph Browarski and his wife Jeanette, one sister, Antoinette Valli, nine grandchildren: Amy, Joey, Jimmy, Sarah, Aaron, Eddie, Katie, Emily and Andrew and seven great grandchildren: Maddie, Lily, Charlotte, Sammy, Violet, Derick and Julianna.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9pm on Friday October 2, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 9:15am on Saturday October 3, 2015 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10am at Immaculate Conception RC Church – Spotswood followed by interment in St. James the Less Parish Cemetery – Jamesburg.
