Mildred S. (Scutaro) Turano died on Saturday September 26, 2015 at her home in Greenbriar @ Whittingham in Monroe Twp. Mrs. Turano was born and raised in Brooklyn. She lived in Staten Island prior to moving to Greenbriar @ Whittingham in Monroe Twp. in 1995. She was a homemaker and was a member and historian of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 522, Monroe Twp. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and dancing.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Anthony J. Turano, Sr. of Greenbriar @ Whittingham, Monroe Twp., three children, Anthony J. Turano, Jr. and his wife Roseann of Morganville, Joel Turano and his wife Celia of Staten Island, and Regina Piccarelli and her husband Ralph of Manalapan, three siblings, Matthew Scutaro and his wife Fay of Lakewood, Stella DiCicco of Staten Island, and Jean Koon of Atlanta, GA, four grandchildren, Anthony J., III and his fiancée Melissa, Nicholas, Lauren, and Andrew, and many other extended family members.
Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Monday September 28, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555 – www.demarcofuneralhome.com. Funeral services will begin at 9:00am on Tuesday September 29, 2015 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10:00am on Tuesday at St. Thomas More Church in Manalapan followed by Entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick.
