Lorraine H. Bond – Monroe Township, NJ Lorraine H. Bond, 85, died on Friday September 11, 2015 at her residence with her family by her side. Lorraine was born in Brooklyn, NY and resided in Bay Ridge and Staten Island for most of her life before moving to Monroe Township, NJ 15 years ago. Lorraine received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Notre Dame, now known as St. John's University in Staten Island. She was employed by the Arch Diocese of New York as an Administrative Assistant for 20 years, retiring in 1995. Lorraine was an active parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church; she was an avid reader, loved Irish music and spending time at the beach, especially Spring Lake and LBI. Lorraine was also an active contributor to veteran organizations. Lorraine is predeceased by her husband Thomas C. Bond (1995), a brother John Maher (1999), a sister Helen Lasser (2010) and her son in law David Dewitt (2011). Lorraine is survived by her three sons: Thomas D. and his wife Anne of Staten Island, NY, Timothy J. of Baltimore, MD, Michael J. and his wife Anna Marie of Staten Island, NY, three daughters: Margaret Dewitt of East Brunswick, NJ, Patricia Pentangelo and her husband William of Monroe Twp., NJ, Kathleen Baetz and her husband Frederick of Fountain Hill, AZ., her sister, Catherine Kraus, sixteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-9pm on Tuesday September 15, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555 – www.demarcofuneralhome.com. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Wednesday September 16, 2015 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 9:30am on Wednesday at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery – Staten Island, NY.
