Robert J. Battiato died on Sunday August 30, 2015 at his home in Denton, TX. He was 73 years old. Mr. Battiato was born in Elizabeth. Formerly of New Jersey, he has resided in Denton, TX since 2002. He served in the US Navy and was a Pre-Delivery Manager for Ford Motor Company in Edison for 43 years. He was a member of the Denton Elks Lodge 2446, Lake Dallas American Legion, and was a former director of the Lakeview Home Owners Association. He was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception RC Church in Denton where he was also a third degree Knight of Columbus.
He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Rosalie (Stankan) Battiato, and his son, Kevin Battiato.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Ferry) Battiato of Denton, TX, two daughters, Coleen Richter of Spotswood, and Kerryann Holster and her husband Richard of Jamesburg, one brother, John Battiato of Monroe Twp., and two grandchildren, Brittany Richter, and Brian Richter.
Visitation is Thursday September 3, 2015 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555, www.demarcofuneralhome.com. Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Friday September 4, 2015 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10:00am at St. James the Less RC Church, Jamesburg followed by Interment in St. Anne Cemetery, Wall Twp.
