Obituary of James R. Basile

James R. Basile died on Friday August 28, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 84 years old. Mr. Basile was born and raised in Brooklyn and lived there until moving to Clearbrook, Monroe Twp. in 2006. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and was a truck driver for Peerless Importers in Queens, NY. He enjoyed westerns, Schaefer beer, and the Rat Pack, but most of all loved his family and the time spent with them.
He was pre-deceased by his wife Louise (DiGiso) Basile in 2014.
He is survived by two daughters, Theresa Graham and her husband Robert of Monroe Twp., and Debra Laurie of Brooklyn, four grandchildren, Regina Giacomini and her husband Frank, James Graham and his wife Lynda, Jessica Turcotte and her husband Ryan, and Sara Laurie, and ten great grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Francesca, John, Andrew, Daniel, Tyler, Brandon, Julie, and Chris.
Visitation is Monday August 31, 2015 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555, www.demarcofuneralhome.com. Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Tuesday September 1, 2015 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10:00am at St. James the Less RC Church, Jamesburg, followed by Interment in Holy Cross Burial Park, Jamesburg.
