Obituary of Raymond R. Miklos, Sr.

Raymond R. Miklos, Sr. - Monroe Township, NJ Raymond R. Miklos, Sr. died on Friday August 21, 2015 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT with his family by his side. Raymond was born and raised in Sayreville, NJ. He lived there until moving to the Renaissance @ Monroe in 2005. He proudly served his country during World War II in the US Navy. Raymond was the co-owner and operator of Miklos Floral Shop in Sayreville, NJ for 58 years before his retirement in 2005. Raymond was a graduate of the Newark Academy of Fine Art, a member of Atlantic Highlands Yacht Club, a 1st Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus in Sayreville, a member of the Lions Club in Sayreville and was also a member of the American Legion and the Veterans Club in the Renaissance of Monroe Twp. He was a former member of Our Lady of Victories in Sayreville. Raymond taught art and sold out of his collection from the Miklos Art Studio in Sayreville. He also enjoyed travelling and boating. Raymond is preceded in death by his wife Anne M. Miklos (2014). Raymond is survived by his two sons, Raymond R. Miklos, Jr. and his wife Susan of Madison, CT, and Jeffrey Miklos, Sr. and his wife Leslie of Mickelton, NJ, his daughter, Elyse and her husband Andrew of New York City, four grandchildren, Jeffrey Miklos, Jr., Amy Miklos and her husband Evan, Raymond Miklos, III, and William Harrison, one great grandson, Emmett Miklos and many other extended family members. A memorial gathering will take place from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Wednesday August 26, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A memorial service will commence at the conclusion of the gathering hours at 12:00pm. Entombment of Raymond's cremated remains will follow in the Brigadier General William C.
