Darlene M. (Ruggerio) Rubino died on Thursday August 6, 2015 at her home in Hightstown. She was 57 years old. Mrs. Rubino was born in Somerset. She lived in Manville and Hamilton for 20 years. She has resided in the East Windsor and Hightstown areas since 1999. She has worked in retail all her life and most recently worked for TJ Maxx in East Windsor. She was an animal lover and cherished her dog Chester. She attended St. Anthony of Padua RC Church in Hightstown where she was a lector.
She was pre-deceased by her mother, Barbara (Ande) Ruggerio, and her brother, Anthony Ruggerio.
She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Vito G. Rubino of Hightstown, three step-children, Joseph Rubino of East Windsor, Michelle Rubino of Hightstown, and Jennifer Bonilla and her husband Miguel of Fort Lee, VA, her father, Vincent Ruggerio, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ciro and Giovanna (Oliveri) Rubino, four siblings, Vincent Ruggerio, Barbara Quigley, Pamela Applegate, and Nancy Ruggerio, five step-grandchildren, Shayla Bonilla, Maya Bonilla, Justin Ortiz, Anthony Bonilla, and Mia Ortiz, five nephews, Vincent Ruggerio, Jr., Richard Applegate, Robert Ruggerio, Tyler Quigley, and Ryan Quigley, two nieces, Amanda Applegate, and Lauren Kelly, and two great nephews, Anthony Applegate, and John Applegate.
A Memorial Mass will be 11:00am on Monday, August 10, 2015 at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church 251 Franklin St, Hightstown, NJ 08520. Private cremation and complete funeral arrangements are under the direction of the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd.
