Obituary of Thomas J. McGrath

Thomas J. McGrath, 80, died on Tuesday July 7, 2015 at RWJ University Hospital in New Brunswick. Thomas was born in Newark and resided in North Brunswick for most of his life before retiring to Greenbriar @ Whittingham, Monroe Twp. He was a teamster union negotiator who worked his entire life for the newspaper industry. Thomas was a traveler who loved shopping, fine dining and his family.
Thomas was preceded in death by his daughter Teresa McGrath (1993), his brother John McKenna and his sister Margaret McKenna (2015).
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jane (Kurtz) McGrath, his son John J. McGrath and his wife Betsy all of Monroe Twp., his daughter Patrice McDermott and her husband Michael of Millstone, his brother Richard McKenna and his wife Dorothy of Livingston and four grandchildren: Michael (Ashley), John and Jessica McDermott and Sarah McGrath.
Visitation will be 6-9pm on Friday July 10, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. A funeral service will be 11am on Saturday July 11, 2015 at the funeral home followed by interment in Holy Cross Burial Park – South Brunswick.
