Obituary of Rita M. Cahill

Rita M. (Becker) Cahill, 100, died on Tuesday July 7, 2015 at Greenwood House in Ewing. Rita was born in Hoboken and lived in Westport, CT before moving to Rossmoor in Monroe Twp. 30 years ago. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Pratt Institute in fashion design. She was a dress maker for 40 years and then went on to become a school secretary in Westport, CT for 15 years. She was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church and an avid reader. Rita was preceded in death by her husband Thomas M. Cahill (1999), 3 brothers and 7 sisters. She is survived by two sons: Thomas F. Cahill of Lawrenceville and Leonard M. Cahill of Clinton, CT, eight grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be 7-9pm on Friday July 10, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 9:45am on Saturday July 11, 2015 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30am on Saturday at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – Monroe Twp. followed by entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum.
