Andres Emilio Santalla, 53, died on July 5, 2015 at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, FL. Andres was born in Havana, Cuba and resided in Monroe Twp. for most of his life before moving to Florida. Andres proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps for 4 years. He graduated with a teaching Degree from Kean University and was a retired disabled Marine Corps veteran. He was a dedicated New York Jets fan, gifted artist, 3rd degree black belt, personal trainer, car enthusiast, collector of specialty items such as knives, swords and comic books and an avid movie and television enthusiast. He also loved to make really bad jokes that he thought were hilarious (although he had his moments). He was a great supporter of all of his children's extracurricular activities. Andres was preceded in death by his father, Andres M. Santalla, his son, Erik O. Santalla and his younger brother, Oscar Santalla. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Leticia B. Santalla, two sons: Andres P. Santalla and Daniel A. Santalla, two daughters: Jennifer L. Santalla and Maegan M. Santalla, his mother, Carmen T. Santalla, his sister Lourdes C. Santalla, his brother in law Abraham M. Lopez, four nephews: Ozzie E. Otero, Jason Santalla, Mateo Lopez and Destin Lopez and two nieces: Christina Otero and Jasmine Santalla. Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Friday July 10, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 9:15 am on Saturday July 11, 2015 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday at St. James the Less RC Church – Jamesburg followed by interment in Holy Cross Burial Park – South Brunswick.
