Marion (Fannon) Haney, 87, died on July 5, 2015 at her residence, Brookdale @ Monroe, Monroe Twp. Marion was born in White Plains, NY and graduated from the Academy of Our Lady of Good Counsel in White Plains and from Katharine Gibbs in New York City. She was an Account Executive in advertising at Benton & Bowles and Peck Advertising Agency in New York City until her marriage to Thomas. When her husband was transferred to Long Island, she was Executive Secretary to Dr. George B. Collins, head of the Cosmotron at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, NY. After moving to New Jersey, she was an Executive Secretary to the Principal of Churchill Junior High School in East Brunswick for over 20 years. Their retirement to Seven Lakes, NC in 1984 led to Mrs. Haney's active involvement in community, civic and church affairs. She enjoyed duplicate bridge and golf.
Marion is survived by her loving husband Thomas of 64 and a half years of marriage, one daughter Joan Segally and her husband Richard of Monroe Twp., one son Paul S. Haney and his wife Kerry of Sayreville and five grandchildren: Elisabeth, Laura, Jonathan, Elise and Eric.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Monday July 13, 2015 at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831.
