Obituary of Joseph P. Perrone

Joseph P. Perrone, 91, died on July 2, 2015 at his residence in Monroe Twp. surrounded by his loving family. Joseph was born in Elizabeth and resided in Colonia before moving to Greenbriar @ Whittingham in Monroe Twp. 27 years ago. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force. Joseph was employed as a Contract Supervisor for Exxon Chemical Company for 40 years until his retirement in 1982. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed handicapping thoroughbreds and served as a pilot with the civil air patrol. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Perrone (1996), his son Joseph P. Perrone, Jr. (1951), two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his daughter Kathryn Gassaro and her husband James of Monroe Twp., two grandchildren: Ellisa Gumina and her husband Frank of Monroe Twp. and Peter Gassaro and his wife Leanne of Asbury Park and two great grandchildren: Frank Gumina IV and Gabriella Gumina. Visitation will be 10am-12pm on Monday July 6, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. A funeral service will be 12pm on Monday at the funeral home followed by entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum – South Brunswick.
