Obituary of Francis T. Daugherty

Francis T. Daugherty, 102, died on June 16, 2015 at the University Medical Center of Princeton @ Plainsboro. Francis was born in Renovo, PA and resided in New York City for most of his life before moving to Rossmoor 20 years ago. Francis proudly served his country in the US Navy during World War II. He was employed by the Federal Reserve Bank of NY for 35 years, retiring in 1978. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Emerald Society of Rossmoor.
Francis was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Daugherty (2001), three brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his second wife, Elena of Monroe Twp., his son, Brian Daugherty and his wife Catherine of North Brunswick, his daughter, Carol Majka and her husband Richard of Savannah, GA, four grandchildren: Jennifer, Karen, Heather and Timothy, four great grandchildren: Colette, Joseph, William and David, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4-8p, on Monday June 22, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Tuesday June 23, 2015 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – Monroe Twp. followed by interment in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery – Wrightstown.
