Obituary of Thomas F. Lempfert

Thomas F. Lempfert died on June 3, 2015 at Pine Brook Rehabilitation & Care Center in Manalapan. He was 80 years old. Thomas was born in Edison and resided in Highland Park for most of his life. He resided in South Amboy for 3 years before moving to Pine Brook Rehabilitation & Care Center in 2013. He proudly served his country in the US Army. Thomas was the Athletic Director for St. Peter's High School in New Brunswick and later was a taxi driver for Highland Park Taxi Service. He owned and operated the Fifth Ave. Sweet Shop in Highland Park. He was involved with sports in Highland Park and was a member of the Highland Park Athletic Club.
Thomas was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
He is survived by three sisters: Carol Soboczynski and her husband Frank of South Amboy, Viola Pearce of Ruskin, FL and Bertha Kolias of Bensalem, PA, his best friend Ted Kubiak of San Diego, CA and many other extended family members.
Interment and graveside service will be held at 10am on Friday June 5, 2015 at Dayton Cemetery – Georges Rd., Dayton, NJ 08810.
