Maria M. Barkin, 75, died on Monday May 4, 2015 at the CentraState Medical Center – Freehold. Maria was born in St. Ingbert, Germany, came to the US and settled in Irvington. Maria has resided in Manalapan since 1998. She was a payroll clerk over the course of a thirty year career, retiring in 1997. Her family was her priority and she cherished the time spent with them, especially her granddaughters. She loved watching old time movies.
Maria is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Barry S. Barkin of Manalapan, a daughter, Michelle Tower and her husband Timothy of Manalapan and two grandchildren: Alyssa Tower and Nicole Adams and her husband Joseph.
Visitation will be 5-8pm on Thursday May 7, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. A funeral service will be 10am on Friday May 8, 2015 at the funeral home followed by interment in Beth Israel Cemetery – Woodbridge.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association – www.heart.org.
