Alexander J. Curcio, 82, died on Tuesday April 28, 2015 at Saint Peter's University Hospital – New Brunswick. Alexander was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He resided there for most of his life before moving to Monroe Township, NJ. He proudly served his county in the US Army. Alexander was an avid golfer and was a diehard New York Mets and Giants fan. Most importantly, Alexander was very proud of his family.
Alexander is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Agnes (Langella) Curcio of Monroe Township, three daughters: Laura Mah and her husband Larry of New York, Nancy Fontana and her husband Charles of Staten Island, Maria Fowler and her husband John of Old Bridge, NJ, two brothers: Neil Curcio and his wife Nancy of Staten Island, Bart Curcio and his wife Maria of Bay Shore, NY, ten grandchildren: Richard Murphy and his wife Holly, Anne Murphy and her husband Michael Melamedoff, Caitlin Murphy, Christopher Mah and his wife Malissa, Johnathan Mah, Vanessa Cusato and her husband Todd, Laura Otero and her husband Kenneth, Charles Fontana and his wife Laura, John Fowler and Alexander Fowler, five great grandchildren: Milo Melamedoff, Noelle Murphy, Avery Mah, Tyler Mah and Cooper Mah. Also surviving are many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Thursday April 30, 2015 and 2-4 & 7-9pm on Friday May 1, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 8:15am on Saturday May 2, 2015 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 9am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – Monroe Twp. followed by interment in Cemetery of the Resurrection – Staten Island.
