Mrs. Stella Marlow, 92, of Monroe Twp. passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Stella was born in Thorpe, WV and resided in NJ most of her life. She was a 1940 graduate of Jamesburg High School. Stella and her late husband, Rodney L., Sr. founded an Insurance agency in Jamesburg which is now operated by their daughter Marianne. Stella had worked at various office positions including McGraw Hill and Cleveland Container Corp. She was employed at the Wilson School, NJ State Training School for Boys from 1972 to her retirement in 1987. Stella and her husband had been active in the Jamesburg Democratic Party and various civic organizations. She had served as a Boy Scout den mother when her sons were young and was a member of the Jamesburg Senior Citizens. She enjoyed her home and gardening and was an avid reader. Stella was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mary Palco, her brother Frank, Jr. and his wife Margaret, her husband of over 60 years Rodney L., Sr. (2006) and her sons Richard B. (1997) and Gerald M. Marlow (2009). She is survived by her son Lee Marlow of Gainesville, GA, her daughter Marianne Marlow of Freehold Twp., her daughter-in-law Elaine Marlow of Gastonia, NC and two grandchildren: Amanda L. and Sarah C. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 7-9pm on Thursday April 23, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 10:30am on Friday April 24, 2015 at the funeral home followed by graveside services at Holy Trinity Cemetery – Monroe Twp. In honor of Stella's memory, donations may be made to the Monroe Twp. Volunteer First Aid Squad – 47 Monmouth Rd. – Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 or the Jamesburg Volunteer First Aid Squad – PO Box 213 – Jamesburg, NJ 08831.
