Obituary of Raul Gabilanes

Raul Gabilanes died on April 16, 2015 at Care One @ Holmdel. He was 79 years old. Raul was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador and came to the US in 1955. He resided in Edison for most of his life before moving to Barnegat 14 years ago. Raul was employed as a Quality Control Specialist at Valcor Engineering for 35 years until his retirement in 2013. Raul was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Colleen E. Gabilanes (2011). He is survived by his loving wife Fanny of 56 years, three sons: James of Belmar, Jeff of Monroe Twp., and Daniel and his wife Heather of Old Bridge, one daughter: Kathy McDermid and her husband John of Stewartsville, two sisters: Magui Cruz and her husband Miguel of Florida and Alicia Nevarez and her husband Albert of Bridgewater and eight grandchildren: Sharon, Melissa, Jeremy, Jamie, Lucas, A.J., Connor, and Sophia. A memorial gathering will be from 2-7pm on Sunday April 19, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:15am on Monday April 20, 2015 at Immaculate Conception RC Church – Spotswood.
