Obituary of Rocco J. Spango

Rocco J. Spango died on March 13, 2015 at his residence in The Ponds, Monroe Twp. He was 91 years old. Rocco was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and he lived there until moving to The Ponds in 1997. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII and was a soldier in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a superintendent for Len Operating in Brooklyn, NY for over 40 years before his retirement in 1997. He loved puzzles and fixing things even if they weren't broken. Rocco is survived by his loving wife Genevieve M. Spango of 67 years, two daughters: Roxanne Cadogan of NYC, NY and Donna Rendeiro and her husband Richard of Monroe Twp., two grandchildren: Rich Rocco and Michele Genevieve and several other extended family members. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Sunday March 15, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 8:45 am on Monday March 16, 2015 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 9:30am on Monday at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by interment in Holy Cross Burial Park – South Brunswick.
