Obituary of Josephine Oresto

Josephine Oresto – Spotswood, NJ Josephine Oresto, 92, died on February 6, 2015 at Parker at Monroe with her family by her side. Josephine was born at 34 Watts Street in New York City on March 23, 1922. In 1952, Josephine, Frank and their family, moved to Spotswood, NJ, where they resided ever since. Josephine was a seamstress, homemaker and a Spotswood School Crossing Guard for twenty years, retiring in 1997. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception RC Church – Spotswood and member of the Spotswood Seniors. Josephine enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading. She also loved children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Josephine is preceded in death by her husband Frank Oresto (1997) and a brother Dante Manfredi (1998). Josephine is survived by her two sons: Francis Oresto and his wife Cynthia of Monroe Twp., Andrew Oresto and his wife Diane of Monroe Twp., two daughters: Donna Mar and her husband Jack of Spotswood, Johanna Ternyila and her husband Gary of Monroe Twp., one brother, Rocco Manfredo and his wife Sue of New York, sixteen grandchildren: Joseph, Patrick, Lisa, Kim, Michael, Sheralyn, Jennifer, Danny, Jason, Andy, Tami, Dennis, Francis, Joseph, Elizabeth, and Thomas. Also surviving are thirty four great grandchildren and extended family members and friends. Funeral services will begin at 9:30am Tuesday February 10, 2015 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be 10:15am at Immaculate Conception RC Church - followed by Entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park & Mausoleum. Visitation will be Monday 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the funeral home.
