Obituary of Anne Marie Runyon

Anne Marie Runyon died on January 7, 2015 at Merwick Care and Rehabilitation Center in Plainsboro. She was born on September 1, 1919 in New Brunswick, NJ and she lived in in North Brunswick for more than 38 years. She then moved to Rossmoor in 1984 where she lived for 31 years before moving to Wynwood at Forsgate assisted living facility on March 28, 2014. She worked in the family business, Runyon's Market in Somerset for 34 years until her retirement in 1983. She was a member of the Emerald Society at Rossmoor and assisted in the operation of the Monroe Twp. Food Pantry. For years she knitted gloves, scarves and sleeves and sent them to less privileged children in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist in New Brunswick as a child, Sacred Heart Parish in New Brunswick during her married years and St. James the Less RC Church in Jamesburg while living in Rossmoor.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents Anna Witt and Sanford Kearns, her husband of 62 years Walter A. Runyon, two brothers Joseph and Richard Kearns, three sisters Mary Farkas, Elizabeth Bianca and Bernice Cassino, and a great- granddaughter Chloe Alexis Sauickie.
She is survived by two sons, Walter J. Runyon and his wife Rena of Monroe Twp. and Frederick Runyon and his wife Laurie of Clark, a daughter Linda Cianfrocca and her husband Jerry of Skillman, eight grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Friday January 9, 2015 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 9:15am on Saturday January 10, 2015 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be at 10am on Saturday at St. James the Less RC Church – Jamesburg followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery – New Brunswick.
