Mary Theresa (Nash) Ferrari – 88 – Monroe Township
Mary Theresa (Nash) Ferrari died on December 30, 2014. She was 88 years old. Mary was born in Beaver Meadows, PA. She resided in Elizabeth, Tarrytown, NY, Battle Creek, MI, Kankakee, IL, Princeton Junction, and finally moved to Rossmoor in Monroe Twp. 24 years ago. Mary was a graduate of Hazelton High School (Class of 1943) and went on to receive her RN license from Hazleton State Hospital in 1947. She worked as a RN for 35 years at St. Elizabeth and Elizabeth General Hospital in Elizabeth, NJ, Phelps Memorial Hospital in Tarrytown, NY, Leila Hospital in Battle Creek, MI., and St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee, IL before her retirement in 1982. She was a volunteer at West Windsor Senior Center and Merwick Care Center, a member of the Princeton Women's Club and was an avid bridge player. Mary was one of the founding members of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church in Monroe Twp., where she was a counter, a lector, and a member of the Hospitality Committee, the Golf Committee, and the Companion of Blessed Pauline.
Mary was preceded in death by her brother Edward Nash.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Lawrence J. Ferrari, one daughter, Mary Ferrari, of New Haven, CT, one brother, Anthony Nash and his wife Frances, of Hazleton, PA and one sister, Margaret Polumbo and her husband Louis, of Beaver Meadows, PA.
