Obituary of Leonard A. Fordellone

Leonard A. Fordellone of Monroe Township died on October 14, 2014 at University Medical Center of Princeton @ Plainsboro. He was 82 years old. Leonard was born and raised in Piedimonte SG, Italy. He came to the USA in 1950 and settled in Jersey City. He then returned to Piedimonte SG, Italy for 6 years before moving to Rossmoor, Monroe Township in 1999. He was a foreign language teacher for St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City for 25 years before his retirement in 1993. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Roseann (D'Ambrosio) Fordellone, his brother Pietro Fordellone and his wife Anna of Italy, his brother-in-law Paul D'Ambrosio and his wife Frances of PA, his two sisters-in-law Michangela Fordellone of Italy and Ida Jankowski and her husband Chester of Jersey City. Also surviving are a cousin, Caroline Bellini and her husband, Peter of Manchester, NJ, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Sunday October 19, 2014 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Monday October 20, 2014 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – Monroe Twp. followed by entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum – South Brunswick.
