Alfonso O. Mancuso – 89 – Monroe Township
Alfonso Mancuso of Monroe Township died on September 24, 2014 at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 89 years old. Alfonso was born in Brooklyn, NY. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during World War II. He worked as an auto mechanic foreman for 40 years until his retirement in 1994.
Alfonso is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Gladys, his two daughters Linda Mancuso and her husband Earl Walker, Jr. of Somerset and Laurie Filiberti and her husband John of Randolph, his son Mark Mancuso of Monroe Township, three beautiful grandchildren: Nicole, Julia and Jack, one brother Edmund Mancuso and his wife Annette of Oak Ridge, NC and one sister Johanna Galtes and her husband Peter of Goleta, CA. Also surviving are extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 1-4 pm on Sunday September 28, 2014 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 11am on Monday September 29, 2014 at the funeral home followed by interment in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery – Wrightstown, NJ.
