Obituary of Ann Louise Meyer

Ann Louise (Heilmann) Meyer died peacefully on September 17, 2014 at University Medical Center @ Plainsboro after a short illness surrounded by her children. She was 78 years old. Ann was born in Jersey City and resided in North Bergen for most of her life before moving to Monroe Twp. in 1973. She was employed as an administrative assistant for McGraw Hill in New York City and Hightstown, NJ and then for the Monroe Twp. Zoning Department until her retirement. She loved her family, rescuing stray cats, feeding birds and had many beloved cats and dogs over the years. She loved nature, watching TV and was an avid knitter of baby blankets and hats. Ann was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Anna Mae (Boland) Heilmann and her husband Richard Meyer (1997). She is survived by one son Todd Meyer of Monroe Twp., three daughters: Tracey Ann Meyer of Piscataway, Tammy L. Adams of Mt. Laurel and Tina L. Carkhuff and her husband Kyle of Humble, TX and four grandchildren: Kristine and Stephanie Adams and Kyle Jr. and Evan Carkhuff. Funeral services will begin at 9:45am on Wednesday September 24, 2014 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery – Wrightstown. Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Tuesday September 23, 2014 at the funeral home. For those who desire memorial contributions may be made to Friends of the Senior Center – 12 Halsey Reed Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 Attn: Bonnie. Please indicate in the memo: Food Pantry.
