Kathryn L. (Wetzel) Flatley died on August 3, 2014 at home. She was born in New Brunswick and resided in Jamesburg, Yardville and Freehold before moving to Old Bridge in 1997. She received a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature/Poetry from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a librarian at the Jamesburg Public Library, owned and operated her own antiques store called Antiques And in Yardville and later retired from Robert Wood Foundation as an Assistant Director of the Information Center. She was a writer of poetry and music and had some of her writings published. She was a long time member of St. Raphael's RC Church in Yardville, NJ.
Mrs. Flatley was preceded in death by her son Michael M. Flatley (2014).
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Michael A. Flatley of Old Bridge, her daughter Tara Ehmann and her husband Robert of Old Bridge, a brother Frederick Wetzel and his wife Rosemary of Jamesburg, two sisters, Susan Schlegel Sciora and her husband Gregory of Old Bridge and Sharon Schlegel Krauss and her husband Frederick of Old Bridge, her granddaughter Alexandra Ehmann and many other extended family members.

In lieu of flowers and for those who desire memorial contributions may be made in Kathryn's memory to the Michael M. Flatley Memorial Scholarship c/o South Brunswick Student Personnel Services Dept. – 750 Ridge Rd., Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852 – Any contributions made will be awarded to worthy students who wish to continue to study to become counselors.
