Obituary of George Harduby

George Harduby passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at his home. Mr. Harduby was the son of John Harduby and Mary Kaly Harduby. He was born in Czechoslovakia on May 5, 1933 and immigrated to the USA with his parents in 1938. After graduating from High School, he worked at Anderson Auto in Rye, NY before enlisting in the Army during the Korean War. During his service he received a merit unit commendation and medals for Korean Service, Good Conduct, United Nations Service and National Defense Service. After being discharged, he returned to NJ and began working for PSE&G until his retirement in 1986.
He is survived by his wife Helen Harduby, daughter Helena Harduby of Irving, TX, son George Harduby and his wife Maryellen of East Brunswick, three grandchildren: Raquel, Preston and Sabrina Harduby, his brother Will Harduby and his wife Claire of Monroe, NJ, three nieces, two great nephews and many other extended family members.
Funeral services will begin at 9:15am on Wednesday June 18, 2014 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Bartholomew Church in East Brunswick at 10am followed by interment in Holy Cross Burial Park – South Brunswick. Visitation will be held from 5-9pm on Tuesday June 17, 2014 at the funeral home.
