Helen M. Zedalis died on Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge. She was 100 years old. Helen was born and raised in Ebervale, PA and she lived in North Arlington, NJ for 29 years before moving to Greenbriar @ Whittingham, Monroe Twp. in 2005. She was a factory worker for Western Electric Co. in Kearney for 25 years before her retirement in 1979. She was a member of the Pioneers of America and a former parishioner of Queen of Peace RC Church in North Arlington. She was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph F. Zedalis in 1975, her son Joseph M. Zedalis in 2009, and her son-in-law Thomas B. Muir in 2003. She is survived by her son Ronald N. Zedalis and his wife Rosemary V. of Chillicothe, OH, her daughter Rose Marie Muir of Monroe Twp., her daughter-in-law Jean Zedalis of Jackson, her brother Nicholas Mitchell of Harve de Grace, MD, her sister Catherine Kovatch of Hazleton, PA, nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Visitation will be on Wednesday morning June 4, 2014 from 8-10am at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 10am on Wednesday from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30am on Wednesday at St. James the Less RC Church – Jamesburg followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery – North Arlington.
