Obituary of Margaret Mary Morris

Margaret Mary Morris died on May 28, 2014 at The Gardens @ Monroe in Monroe Township. She was 87 years old. She was born in Queens, NY and resided in College Point, NY, Wayne, NJ and Manalapan, NJ before moving to Clearbrook, Monroe Township 20 years ago. Margaret was a librarian at the Wayne Twp. Library for 20 years before her retirement in 1987. Margaret was an active parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church in Monroe Twp. where she served as Eucharistic Minister. She was an avid bridge player, enjoyed traveling, reading books and spending time with her family. Margaret was preceded in death by her first husband Paul R. McDermott (1984), her second husband Harry T. Morris (2008), two brothers Gerard and John Reinhart and a sister Clare Schnell. She is survived by her sons Paul McDermott and his wife JoAnn of Bonita Springs, FL and James McDermott and his wife Lucille of Denville, her daughter Ellen Carroll and her husband Lawrence of Long Beach Twp., her brother Richard Reinhart of Florida, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will begin at 10:15am on Monday June 2, 2014 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 11am on Monday at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – 185 Applegarth Road, Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by interment at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes. Visitation will be on Sunday June 1, 2014 from 2-5pm at the funeral home. For more information and directions please visit www.demarcofuneralhome.com.
