Joann (Caruso) Mixtacki died on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at St. Peter's University Hospital. She was 68.
Joann was predeceased by her husband Ed, who passed in February 2014. She is survived by her son Brian and his wife Julie and their son Max of Bethlehem, PA; a sister Debi Caruso and brother John Caruso of Monroe Twp, NJ. She leaves behind two nieces; Heather (Best) Logan and her husband Bill and Kellie Best (Eric Wysokowski) and four great nephews, Tyler, Aiden, Andrew and William.
Joann was an independent newspaper carrier for over 30 years to many residents of Jamesburg and Monroe. Joann and Ed, also known as "Aunt Jo and Uncle Eddie" to so many watched over the neighborhood children for most of their lives.
A private cremation was entrusted to the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd Monroe Twp., NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the NJ Sharing Network on behalf of Ed/Joann Mixtacki.
