Obituary of Frances Scaturro

Frances Scaturro – 95 – Monroe Township, NJ Frances Scaturro passed away on Saturday May 10, 2014 at her residence in Rossmoor, Monroe Township. She was 95 years old. Frances was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy. She came to the United States and settled in Brooklyn where she lived for most of her life before moving to Rossmoor in 1994. She was a homemaker, a master of Italian cooking, knitting and other domestic arts, a member of the Italian American Club of Rossmoor, an officer of the Brooklyn Club, and a superb bocce player in the Rossmoor league. Frances was a parishioner of Saint James the Less RC Church in Jamesburg. Frances was preceded in death by her husband Anthony G. Scaturro in 2009. Frances is survived by her son Anthony J. Scaturro of Monroe Township, her daughter-in-law, Ping Jia, her three grandchildren, Nelson, Jasmin and Deborah and their mother, Susan M. Scaturro, Anthony's first wife who continued to be a part of Frances' life, as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Monday May 12, 2014 and 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Tuesday May 13, 2014 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 9:15am on Wednesday May 14, 2014 at the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10am at St. James the Less RC Church in Jamesburg followed by Interment in Trinity All Saints Cemetery in Princeton.
