Betty Gurvitch died on Thursday April 10, 2014 at her home in Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. She was 81 years old. Mrs. Gurvitch was born and raised in Brooklyn. She later lived in Roosevelt and East Windsor Twp. before moving to Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. in 1999. She was an office assistant for several employers during her career including McGraw Hill in Hightstown, and most recently H & R. Block in East Windsor. She was an active member of the Rossmoor Jewish Congregation and belonged to the painting club of Rossmoor. She also volunteered her time as a tutor at the Monroe Twp. Public Library. She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Ilaine Gurvitch in 2012. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Martin M. Gurvitch of Rossmoor, Monroe Twp., her son, Adam Gurvitch and his wife Andrea Dezso of NYC, NY, two brothers, Robert Ginsberg and his wife Ellen of Tacoma Park, MD, and Howard Ginsberg of Queens, NY, one grandson, Mark Bosz of NYC, NY, and many other extended family members. Graveside services will be 3:00pm on Friday April 11, 2014 at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin. Arrangements are under the direction of the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd.
